Meet the Mentor
We were delighted this week when we were asked to run a round table discussion at the Inspired Women of Perth Meet the Mentor event last week, to talk all things branding with the lovely business women of Perth.
Here are some of the key takeaways from the talk we gave:
Building a personal brand is more important now than it's ever been.
The lines between personal and business branding are getting very murky.
Small business owners need to polish their visual identities, communication and websites in order to compete with the 'big guys'.
The best way to build a strong brand is to do a lot of self-reflection and figure out how to align your personal values with your business.
Every attendee at the event was given a Brand Discovery Workbook, and to our delight, we've continued to receive completed brand discoveries since.
It's amazing to see business owners digging deep and really getting into the 'nitty gritty' of who they are and what they stand for, and looking at ways to integrate those aspects into their business... That's what makes for true authenticity.
The event was also hosted by mentors from other industries, including:
+ Tom Meagher, Director of Balfour Meagher Legal
+ Tenille Bentley, Managing Director
+ Julian Pace, Founder and MD of Happiness Co
+ Jay Crisp Crow, Copywriting Expert
+ Renee Kacz, Inspired Women of Perth
+ Rachael Innes, Bookkeeper and Account Manager
+ Stuart Kidd, Founder & CEO Apps People
+ Nicole Ashby, Founder High-Profit Media
Wildbrand would like to thank the Inspired Women of Perth for inviting us to speak at this event, and for all the wonderful things you do for the local business community.
